Function Description：
Siemens S7 gateway PFN2004-ARM (2 Ethernet port, 4 RS485 serial port, dynamically supports 1024 points). It supports the collection and forwarding of over 500 protocols to S7 protocol.
The gateway is configured using X2Profinet software. The "X" in X2Profinet stands for various acquisition-end protocols, "2" is the homophonic of "To" indicating conversion, and "Profinet" represents the final support for the standard S7 protocol.
Users can configure based on the communication protocols of on-site devices, and finally convert them into the Siemens S7 standard protocol. After successful simulation operation on the PC end, it is uploaded to the hardware protocol conversion gateway.
Application Field：
The hardware gateway PFN2004-ARM supports multiple protocol conversions, acting as a communication bridge. It can convert other non-standard communication protocols into Siemens S7 standard protocol and OPC UA protocol, enabling Siemens configuration software WinCC, touch screen, and PLC （such as Siemens PLC 200/300/400/1200/1500 ）to communicate with different third party devices through the gateway.

Register Type:
The S7 gateway supports the Siemens S7 standard protocol. The register types and the maximum number of points supported by this gateway are as shown in the table below.
Note: The number of gateway register points is dynamically supported. The total number of points cannot exceed 1024.
